This One Pot Pizza Pasta will become a family favorite dinner! It's quick and easy to make and full of flavor! Plus, customize it and use whatever pizza toppings you like!
1pound (500g)Italian sausage, casings removed if necessary
1small onion, chopped
2clovesgarlic, minced
1(24oz) (680g)jar spaghetti sauce
1(14.5oz) (411g)can diced tomatoes
1cup (235ml)water
1/2teaspoondried oregano
1/2teaspoondried basil
8oz (230g)penne pasta (or something similar)
sliced pepperoni
2cups (230g)shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2cup (55g)grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
In a large skillet brown the sausage, onion and garlic. Drain any grease.
Add in the spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, water, oregano and basil. Stir to combine. Add in the pasta and carefully stir to combine. Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the pasta is tender.
Preheat the broiler.
Top pasta with sliced pepperoni shredded cheeses and more pepperoni. Place under broiler for 3-5 minutes or until cheeses are melted.
