Garnishes: shredded cheddarsliced green onions, cooked and crumbled bacon
Instructions
In a large dutch oven or pot melt the butter and add in the potatoes, celery, onion, garlic, water, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender but not mushy.
Add the cream and milk and bring back up to a simmer. Remove from the heat and stir in the dry instant mashed potatoes. Cover and let sit for 5 minutes.
