In a large pan or skillet brown ground beef over medium heat and season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain any excess grease.
Stir in onion, garlic, canned tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, tomato paste, chicken broth and pasta. Bring to a boil, cover and reduce heat to a simmer. Cook for 15 minutes or until pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and sprinkle with shredded cheese. Cover with lid until cheese is melted. Garnish with chopped tomatoes and green onions.
