A simple and traditional Homemade Herb Stuffing that is not soggy, full of flavor and the perfect holiday side dish!

  • 1 (1 pound) loaf bread white, wheat or a combo
  • 1/2 cup finely minced celery
  • 1/4 cup finely minced onion
  • 1/2 - 1 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  1. Cut bread into 1/2 inch cubes and place in a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle with celery, onion, sage, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper. Mix well.  Stir in chicken broth (add in just enough to make the bread moist but not soggy).

  2. Spoon into a lightly greased 1.5 quart baking dish or 9x13 baking pan and dot with 4 tablespoons butter. Cover with foil and bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until heated through.
