Pineapple Upside Down Cake

This soft, buttery homemade pineapple upside down cake is a classic recipe beloved by all! The caramelized pineapple blankets the buttery vanilla cake with so much flavor that you don’t even need icing!

Ingredients

Butter | Brown Sugar | Eggs Pineapple Slices | Vanilla Maraschino Cherries | Sugar Flour | Baking Powder Baking Soda | Buttermilk

Melt butter and pour into a baking pan. Sprinkle with brown sugar and arrange the pineapple slices and cherries. Next, beat butter, sugar, and eggs, and mix in the vanilla.

Instructions

Combine the dry ingredients, then add ⅓ of the flour mixture to the creamed mixture and ⅓ of the buttermilk, and mix just until combined. Repeat 2 more times.

Bake for 40-45 minutes. Cool on a wire rack for 20 minutes then invert the cake onto a serving platter.
