Healthy Apple Crisp

Ingredients

  • 5 cups sliced peeled tart apples about 4 medium
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/3 cup cold butter cubed

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Place apples in a greased 8 inch square baking dish.
  • In a small bowl combine brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon and clove. Cut in butter with two knives or a pastry blender until mixture is crumbly. Sprinkle over apples.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until apples are tender.

Notes

Really good served warm with vanilla ice cream.
