Swedish Meatballs

These Swedish Meatballs are a wonderfully comforting meal. Made with a combination of beef and pork, simmered in a creamy gravy, and served over egg noodles or even mashed potatoes!


Onion | Garlic | Milk | Egg Dry Bread Crumbs | Nutmeg Allspice | Lean Ground Beef Ground Pork | Olive Oil Egg Noodles | Salt | Pepper Gravy Butter | Flour | Beef Broth Sour Cream | Parsley

Combine onion, garlic, egg, milk, bread crumbs, nutmeg, allspice, salt and pepper and let sit for 5 minutes. Then mix in the ground beef and pork until just combined.


Form into 1 inch meatballs and fry on all sides in olive oil, until cooked through. Remove from skillet and cover loosely with foil to keep warm.

To make the gravy, melt butter, then whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in the beef broth , reduce heat and stir in the sour cream.  Add meatballs and simmer covered for 5 minutes.

Serve with hot cooked and buttered egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
