Print Recipe
- 1¾ cup (210g) powdered sugar
- 6 ounces (170g) semi-sweet or dark chocolate, roughly chopped
- 1 cup (80g) cocoa powder, any kind is fine
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
- This makes about 3 1/4 cups of hot cocoa mix.
- Feel free to use semi-sweet or milk chocolate in place of the dark chocolate if you prefer.
- Use a high-quality chocolate and cocoa powder for this recipe for best results. Brands such as Lindt and Ghirardelli for solid chocolate and Hershey's will work great for the cocoa powder.
- I added mini marshmallow and chocolate chips to this mason jar gift but feel free to add different items such as crushed peppermints, toffee bits, different flavored marshmallows, or even different flavored chocolate chips.
- This will keep at room temperature for up to 3 months.
