How To Make Creamy Taco Sauce

If you are looking for ways to use this delicious sauce, I have some yummy suggestions!! Not only is this sauce great on homemade tacos, but it is also great on hamburgers or even salmon burgers!

STEP 1: Combine all ingredients in a small bowl until well combined. Taste for salt and pepper.

***PRO TIP: For more heat, add in diced pickled jalapeno, cayenne pepper, or chipotle peppers. Can also use Greek yogurt in place of the sour cream.

How To Store This Delicious Taco Sauce

MAKE AHEAD: This can easily be made in advance and stored, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 7 days. I actually think it tastes better after it has sat for a while. Just give it a good stir when ready to serve.

Substitutions

MORE HEAT: If you want more heat, add chopped pickled jalapenos, cayenne pepper, or chipotle peppers. Use a blender or an immersion blender to make it smooth.

SOUR CREAM AND MAYO: You can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream. Use full-fat or reduced-fat. I prefer full fat, but use what you are used to eating.

PICKLED JALAPENOS: If you don’t have pickled, use fresh and add 1 teaspoon of white vinegar. Add everything to a blender or use an immersion blender to blend until smooth.
