I first tried sangria at a friend’s house and instantly fell in love.  It was a red sangria and it is still, to this day, one of my favorite drinks!  You see, I am a sucker for fruit and fruity drinks, so when you put the two together it’s dangerous!

How To Make This White Wine Sangria Recipe with Triple Sec

Step 1: Combine the ingredients

Mix together the fresh fruit, triple sec, and wine in a large pitcher.

Step 2: Chill

Place the white wine sangria in the fridge for at least 1 hour. The longer it chills the stronger the flavors will be.

Step 3: Serve

Add the lemon lime soda or ginger ale to the wine and give it a gentle stir. Place ice cubes into wine glasses and pour in white sangria. Garnish with some pieces of fruit, serve, and enjoy!

CAN I ADD DIFFERENT FRUIT?

Yep, this white sangria recipe is very easy to adjust by adding different fruit. While I added berries, you could mix in peaches, apples, grapes, oranges, or any other fruit you enjoy. Feel free to play around with the flavors until you find your favorite.

HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT WINE?

Choose a bottle of white wine that you already enjoy. If you pick something that you don’t like, you aren’t going to enjoy it just because you added fruit and other ingredients.
Sticking with something you know is the key to the perfect white sangria!
If you don’t typically drink wine, I recommend trying Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Vermentino, or Pinot Grigio because they all pair well with fruit.
Additionally, you can go with sparkling wine if you love the extra bubbles!

HOW LONG DOES WHITE SANGRIA LAST?

If kept refrigerated, it will last for 2 days. After that, the fruit will begin breaking down and the overall flavor won’t be as good.
PRO TIP: Be sure not to add the soda to the sangria until you are ready to serve. It will become flat and will only last a few hours after it’s added.

CAN I USE FROZEN FRUIT?

No, using fresh fruit is the key to ensuring that you get the most of out this white sangria recipe. Frozen fruit will become soggy and break apart as it thaws. This will hinder the flavor and the texture of the drink.

  1. So I am planning a baby shower for next weekend! I am wanting to make this! Was wondering your thoughts on serving pre-served in mason jars on ice? Should I add everything except the soda? With the option of adding the soda them self?

    • Hi Alica! How fun!! I recommend making the sangria with the soda just before the baby shower starts and it will be fine. Thanks for asking and I hope you enjoy!!

  2. I don’t care for carbonated beverages. Is there something else that I can add to the White Sangria instead of the soda? Will it alter the flavor if I omit it?

    • So sorry I didn’t answer your question sooner!! You can certainly omit the soda but yes it will taste slightly different. There really isn’t anything to replace a carbonated beverage because I am using it to add carbonation to the sangria.
