So, how has summer been for everyone?? I feel like it has been quite awhile since I have written a regular post. I have been giving you guys a bunch of basic recipes from my back to the basics series. I had several posts saved up from before my little one was born and I have finally run out.
Getting back into routine has been harder than I thought it would be. The kiddos know exactly when I try to squeak in some blog time and something always seems to happen. When does school start again???? But anyway I decided I needed to just start off with something not so complicated or anything that would require a lot of recipe testing. Enter this fruit dip. It’s so easy my kiddos could make it.
Then came my next hurdle…..
My photography. I felt like I was starting to find my “look” or my style with my photos before my daughter was born.
Then my husband put up an awning.
Which covered the windows I took pictures at. *Insert deep sobs*
Not that I’m complaining about the awning because it’s so wonderful to be able to sit outside in the shade and watch the kids play. But it’s making things a little more challenging.
It changed the way the light comes into the windows completely and I can’t get that same look and feel I used to have in my older posts.
I have been trying out all of our other windows in the house and I’m just not as happy with the way the photos turn out. The lighting is just so different. You guys may not notice too much but I sure do.
It’s been partly cloudy to really cloudy every day for the past 2 weeks. Which normally I would love because it gives such nice soft light which is perfect for food photography. But it just isn’t working at these other windows. What is a girl to do????
So, bear with me over the next few weeks until I can find my groove again. Hopefully, I can start posting more frequently and back on a regular routine. And hopefully, I can figure out my lighting situation.
Thanks for listening guys! You’re the best!
