This Apple Cranberry Moscow Mule is a delicious twist on a classic drink. Sweet and slightly tart and so refreshing. Super easy to make and so pretty to serve to guests!
Who else really likes cooking with cranberries? I really enjoy their tart flavor that they add to dishes and as soon as they are in the store I grab a few bags! I wanted to make a pretty seasonal drink with cranberries and decided to make a twist on a classic.
If you are looking for some more drinks to try this Pomegranate Apple Cider Sangria is also really pretty and super tasty. Another favorite is this Classic Margarita.
Tell Me More About This Apple Cranberry Moscow Mule
TASTE: It has the spicy gingery taste of a traditional moscow mule with cranberry juice and apple cider added. For this drink, I stuck with vodka as the boozy component.
EASE: It is a super easy drink to make and only needs 4 ingredients. Just combine, stir, and pour!
Ingredients
There are only 4 ingredients needed to make this drink: cranberry juice, apple cider, ginger beer, and vodka. All of them are easy to find at your local grocery store or liquor store.
Just a note this is apple cider and NOT apple cider vinegar. I also prefer to use 100% cranberry juice for this drink to get the most cranberry flavor but if you can only find cranberry cocktail that is fine too. Your drink will just be a little sweeter.
Garnish Options
- Cranberries
- Apple slices
- Sprigs of rosemary
- Lime wedges

How To Make Cranberry Mule For A Crowd
If you are entertaining and don’t want to measure out each cup here is a pitcher that can serve 8.
To mix up 8 servings: Combine 16 ounces ginger beer, 8 ounces cranberry juice, 8 ounces apple cider, and 8 ounces vodka in a large pitcher.
A single serving is about 5 ounces of moscow mule but you don’t have to be that exact. Pour into your favorite chilled copper mug or other mug and let your guests garnish!
Recipe Variations
NON-ALCOHOLIC: Leave out the vodka. It will still have the sweet and gingery taste of a moscow mule just without the booze.
JUICE: You can swap out the juices for different flavors. Try a spiced apple cider for a different twist!
BOOZE: Moscow mules are traditionally made with vodka but you could try your favorite bourbon or rum with this version!
SWEETER: If you would like to make it sweeter and not quite as gingery swap out the ginger beer for ginger ale.
