I’m putting out a disclaimer with these sweet and spicy pecans……once you start you WILL NOT stop!  They are super addictive and perfect for your appetizer spread you may be planning.  They also make great gifts.  Package up in a mason jar and tie a ribbon around them and I promise whoever you give these too will love you forever!

Some other great food gifts I have are these 3 DIY Christmas Gift Baskets.

Well, we are in the final few days before Christmas!!!!  YAY!!!  I think I get just as excited for Christmas as my kiddos do.  I’m just hoping we can avoid catastrophe for the rest of Christmas vacation!  My second oldest had a fast trip to the dentist to fix her front teeth.  She was spinning around in her room and ran into the bunk bed, which is metal, which is not very forgiving!  She broke her left front tooth in half and chipped her other front tooth.

It was not a pretty sight but she handled it really well, it was me who didn’t.  I had to dig a chunk of her tooth out of her lip and I don’t handle those situations very well and I’m sure she could tell that by the look on my face.  But I did hold my composure, got her cleaned up, and phoned the dentist to see what we were facing.  We went to the dentist the next day and he was able to “patch” her teeth up good as new!  We may be facing dental issues down the road but for now, everything is ok.  Phew!

About these Sweet and Spicy Pecans:

  • Don’t like pecans, no problem!  Change them out for walnuts, almonds, cashews……the choice is yours.  If you choose a smaller nut such as pistachios watch them closely because they will burn quicker.
  • These nuts are the perfect addition to an appetizer platter or for a last minute Christmas gift!
  • Make ahead tip: these pecans can be stored for about 3-6 months or frozen for up to 2 years.  Other nuts will have different storage lengths, but roughly this same amount of time.
