Before You Get Started
A few quick notes that help this recipe turn out perfectly every time:
Use lean ground beef. Leaner meat keeps the meat from becoming greasy and helps the flavors shine. You can drain the extra fat if needed.
Brown the meat well. Let it get a little color before stirring in the pan. This adds richer, deeper flavor. And leave the meat in bigger chunks to prevent it from drying out.
Taste and adjust. Taste your meat and fry sauce to see if it needs more salt or tang (vinegar).

How To Make Burger Bowls
This is one of those recipes that really isn’t a recipe but more of a template you can adjust to your liking! Choose your favorite greens or lettuce and fill up your bowl. Top with seasoned ground beef or even a hamburger patty. Add your favorite burger toppings, “fries”, and drizzle on that delicious fry sauce!
Substitutions
GROUND BEEF: Replace the ground beef with ground turkey or a hamburger patty.
***FLAVOR TIP: This bowl also tastes amazing with bacon, making it a bacon cheeseburger bowl!
SPICES: Use your favorite burger seasoning, use ranch seasoning on the fries, or make it spicy by adding cayenne pepper to the fries and ground beef. Or top with your favorite hot sauce.
FRY SAUCE: If you don’t like the fry sauce, try drizzling with ranch dressing instead.
CHEESE: Try shredded swiss, pepper jack, or crumbled bleu cheese for something different.
“FRIES”: For this recipe, the fries are roasted potatoes, but feel free to use any packaged frozen fries. You can also roast sweet potatoes or use a mix of white and sweet potatoes.

Storage
Burger bowls are an excellent option for meal prep. To prepare, cook the beef and potatoes, chop the vegetables, and make the fry sauce. Store everything in separate containers. When you’re ready to eat, simply combine the beef, potatoes, and salad ingredients, and add the fry sauce.
This method keeps everything crisp and flavorful without becoming soggy. You can also reheat the beef and potatoes before adding them to the salad. Store everything in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. The fry sauce can last for up to 2 weeks.
