The kids love it, it’s full of flavor, and it’s quick to make!! Perfect for those busy nights of the week. Plus, change it up and use whatever pizza toppings you like! My husband and I like a wider variety of pizza flavors but our kid’s favorite is pepperoni. My husband doesn’t care for pepperoni on its own but likes it with many types of meat or on a supreme. Course: Main Dish, Pasta Cuisine: Italian Keyword: easy pasta recipe, one pot meal, one pot pasta Servings: 6 Calories: 732 kcal Author: Countryside Cravings Ingredients 1 pound (500g) Italian sausage, casings removed if necessary 1 small onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 (24oz) (680g) jar spaghetti sauce 1 (14.5oz) (411g) can diced tomatoes 1 cup (235ml) water 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon dried basil 8 oz (230g) penne pasta (or something similar) sliced pepperoni 2 cups (230g) shredded mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup (55g) grated Parmesan cheese Instructions In a large skillet brown the sausage, onion and garlic. Drain any grease. Add in the spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, water, oregano and basil. Stir to combine. Add in the pasta and carefully stir to combine. Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the pasta is tender. Preheat the broiler. Top pasta with sliced pepperoni shredded cheeses and more pepperoni.
