Well, we made it through the flood! We had a lot of rain over a period of 4 days and with it a lot of extra water that had no where to go.
My second daughter also had her first communion this past weekend and my dad and grandma came out to visit. So, while we where all trying to get ready for the party our basement started flooding! All the little “ponds” throughout our yard were just filled to the brim and began spilling into each other and then……. it came rushing into our basement.
Things are starting to dry up now and more rain is in the forecast, so we will see what happens! *fingers crossed*
Anyway, with spring rains will come warmer weather and warmer weather brings bbq season.
I love grilling and you wanta know why??? It makes clean up easier because there are less dishes to wash. Yeah for less dishes!!!!! It also keeps the heat out of the house in the hot summer, but I like the easier clean up the most 🙂 .
So, finally to the food in this post—Parmesan Garlic Grilled Corn. These are super simple and quick!! They have a great smokey flavor from the char of the grill. And don’t forget about the melted butter and cheese slathered allllll over the corn. MMMMM
- 6 ears of sweet corn
- 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 garlic cloves minced
-
Preheat the grill.
-
Husk and clean the corn, removing all of the silks. Place ears on the grill and cook for about 15 minutes or until there are some nice char spots and the corn is warmed through.
-
While the corn is cooking place the butter and garlic in a microwave safe bowl and melt together. Brush this over the cooked ears of corn then sprinkle with cheese. Serve immediately.
I’ve never tried adding parmesan to grilled corn before so this is one delicious recipe I need to make!
It’s really good! Let me know how you like it!
