So, are you someone who sticks to the typical pizza flavors or do you like to try something new? I’m usually on team try something new unless it’s really different then…. not so much.
I tried this pizza once a few years ago and fell in love.
Smokey bacon, pieces of chicken, gooey melty cheese, and creamy ranch were the perfect combo to pile on a chewy crust!
I had to make one at home for pizza night and my family loved it. There’s something about homemade pizza that is so satisfying!
My kiddos also love pizza night in and helping make pizzas. Just place the ingredients in front of them and give a little guidance and see what they come up with!
Ingredient list:
- Chicken: you can use any cooked chicken. Rotisserie, leftover chicken, or just cut up a couple of chicken breasts and cook beforehand.
- Bacon: makes life so much better!
- Ranch: use whatever brand your family likes the best or try this Homemade Buttermilk Ranch.
- Cheese: shredded mozzarella is a good choice but you can also use monterey jack or pepper jack to change things up a bit. I will say one thing about cheese…….please grate your own cheese! The pre-shredded stuff you buy from the store is coated in an anti-caking agent and doesn’t always melt well.
- Pizza Dough: you can use store-bought or try my Homemade Pizza Dough. It’s easier than you think to make pizza dough!
Homemade Pizza Dough
Let’s talk pizza dough for a second mkay….
Homemade pizza crust really isn’t that hard to make I promise. It’s actually a great place to start if you are new to baking with yeast. And I make this Homemade Pizza Dough every time we have pizza night in and here’s why:
- Super easy to make (like I said perfect for beginners!)
- Minimal ingredients
- No hard to find ingredients
- Crisp on the outside but soft on the inside
- Make a thick or thin crust with it!
I like to use Red Star All-Natural Active Dry Yeast. Their yeast is the only yeast on the market without added ingredients. They also have a platinum line that is great for beginners with its dough improvers that help take the guesswork out of working with yeast.
What to serve with Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza:
- Simple Caesar Salad
- Salad with Homemade Buttermilk Ranch
- Cheesy Breadsticks
- Fresh fruit slices

Very easy to put together and tasted delicious! The only downside is that it gets a little soggy after being refrigerated and then reheated. I will DEFINITELY make this again!
Thank you! I am glad you liked it! One way I crisp up a soggy crust is in a hot skillet. I will warm my pizza in the microwave then toast the crust in a hot skillet.

Highly suggest setting your oven as high (550 if you can) as it can go and waiting a good 30 minutes before placing your pizza on the BOTTOM rack to cook at least 7 minutes. Also prior to that take your store bought dough an rub a little olive oil on it. Place it in a bowl and saran wrap the top. Leave it in the fridge 24 hrs to rise. This will yield the closest your gonna get to authentic pizza oven pizza
Thank you so much for sharing your tips on how to get a more authentic pizza!!
