These apple peanut butter granola sandwiches are a fun way to change up snack time!! Â My kids just love to eat these in the afternoon and they only require 3 ingredients!
Usually when we get home from school the only thing the kids can talk about is food. Â They are absolutely starving!! Â Forget about homework or asking how their day went all they have on their brain is eating something and now.
My kids are usually pretty good about accepting healthy food choices but I guarantee you they would gladly have a snickers bar and a bag of chips if I let them. Â We’re human, I’m not gonna lie. Â We are just like every other family that has their battles over what they are going to let their children eat.
So, as a mom I have to get a little creative sometimes and “trick” them into healthier options. Â I think they enjoy these so much because they are a little different and they are sweet.
These are also very portable. Â Just wrap them tightly and your good to go, no refrigeration needed! Â You can also use any nut butter you like! Â Almond butter would be great on these. Â Use homemade granola or store bought, the choice is yours.
- 2 apples
- Any nut butter
- Granola store bought or homeade
-
Wash and core the apples. Slice into rings. Spread your choice of nut butter over an apple slice and sprinkle with granola. Spread some more nut butter over another apple slice and place on top of the granola to make a sandwich. Press slightly and repeat with other slices.
